1. Description and Main Aims
The objective of this course is to empower participants to strengthen their linguistic abilities while gaining a deeper understanding of the dynamics of language acquisition and intercultural communication.
In today’s interconnected world, giving your school an international dimension means being able to collaborate effectively with a growing number of partners across linguistic and cultural borders. This training responds directly to that need by combining language learning with cultural immersion.
Participants will:
Improve their proficiency in English through structured classes and interactive activities.
Discover the French language and its role as both a European and global language.
Explore the Creole language, the native tongue of Reunion Island, which provides a unique perspective on how languages emerge, evolve, and coexist.
Beyond language itself, the course highlights the profound relationship between language and culture. Participants will gain valuable insights into the multicultural society of Reunion Island, where diverse ethnic groups have forged a harmonious way of living together.
Ultimately, this course offers both a practical and theoretical approach: it provides an inside view into the birth and evolution of languages, while also equipping participants with strategies and tools to address multilingualism and intercultural understanding in their classrooms.
